Assessment
TYLA has a comprehensive reporting structure that ensures accurate assessment and
selection of those youth who are most at risk and most likely to meet with success by engaging in the TYLA programme.
The purpose of the assessment document is to:
• Implement and provide a framework for a rigorous and consistent assessment of the candidate for review with the family and TYLA personnel.
• Provide an ecological view of the child and their family to help with the formulation of a customised programme.
• Provide safety information and a risk assessment for each child and their family.
• To build connections between the work undertaken with the family and the evaluations that underpin the TYLA programme.
• To ensure the programme consistently provides best practice and can assist in making positive changes.
