Programme Partner Selection

TYLA has a rigorous identification assessment and evaluation process to help identify preferred partners. TYLA's programme providers are chosen with excellence and results in mind and their programmes are developed in conjunction with the TYLA Trust Four Pillars of Health, Education, Whanau and Wairua.

The Four Pillars of TYLA:

 

Wairua - Positive relationships (with family, peers, schools and community), cultural identity, induction to TYLA, values/virtues, group work.

 

Health - individual, psychological, mental health assessment, developmental (educational assessment), physical, creative, nutrition, goal setting - individualised plan/visits.

 

Whanau - Home visits, individualised plans, community supports, parenting courses, community link.

 

Education - Literacy/numeracy, buddy system / mentoring, role models, homework centre / drop in centre, leadership, holiday programme, girls programme, life skills, youth club, transition /career planning.
