Kia Orana, my name is Nooroa Moutira-Arakitonga.
I have been in Social Services for 10yrs now eight and half of those years were with Child, Youth & Families Services where I worked as a Statutory Residential, Frontline YJ and C&P and National Call Centre Social Worker, Senior Practitioner then Supervisor of a Social Work Team in all three fields. In 2008 I took 2yrs off from Social Work. In 2010 I attained a Social Work position with Mentoring Youth New Direction (MYND) Programme before acquiring a Social Work position with TYLA in May 2011.
In 2008-2009 I helped to set up the Cook Island Community Services Society Trust and in 2010 I also helped to set up The Amazing HOPE Foundation Charitable Trust based in Mangere.
I very happy to be with TYLA Trust and I believe that we are making steady changes within families we are working with and feel it a privilege to be invited into their homes and into lives.
I hold a Bachelor in Maori Development Majoring in Social Services and Cert in Engineering Fabrication.
